Novak Djokovic, the world number one tennis player from Serbia, is heading into the French Open with “low expectations and high hopes” after a turbulent season. He has not won an ATP title this year and has a disappointing 14-6 win-loss record. Despite this, Djokovic remains determined to win his fourth Roland Garros crown and break the record for 25 Grand Slam titles. The last time he entered the French Open without a title in the calendar year, he was eliminated in the quarter-finals in 2018.

After a shock semi-final loss at a warm-up event in Geneva, Djokovic expressed concerns about his form. He acknowledges that anything less than a title is unsatisfactory for him, as he has a career that backs up his high expectations. Djokovic, who won his 24th Slam at the last year’s US Open, is determined to continue making history in the sport by winning major titles. Despite his recent struggles, he is focused on taking the tournament day by day and step by step to improve his game.

While Djokovic has suffered surprising defeats recently, he remains confident in his abilities, especially in Grand Slam events. Despite facing younger and lower-ranked opponents in recent tournaments, Djokovic believes he knows exactly what he needs to do to succeed in a Grand Slam environment. As he prepares to compete in the French Open, he is also looking forward to watching his old rival Rafael Nadal’s first-round match against Alexander Zverev.

The possibility of Djokovic and Nadal facing each other in the final for the fourth time is a highly anticipated event in the tennis world. With Djokovic’s experience and determination to make history, fans are eagerly awaiting to see how he will perform in the tournament. Despite his struggles and low expectations, Djokovic’s high hopes and goals for winning the biggest titles in tennis remain unchanged. As the French Open unfolds, all eyes will be on Djokovic as he aims to add another Grand Slam title to his illustrious career.
