Crown Prince provides reassurance to Cabinet members regarding King Salman’s health

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman reassured the public about the health of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman during the weekly session of the Council of Ministers. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for inquiries about the King and prayed for his speedy recovery. The Cabinet also praised the King’s patronage of the 4th Global Cybersecurity Forum and the Crown Prince’s initiatives to protect children in cyberspace and empower women in cybersecurity. These initiatives reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in people in vital sectors for economic growth and societal development.

The Cabinet discussed regional and international developments, supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and urging the international community to maintain security and stability in the region. It also welcomed the outcomes of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh/ISIS ministerial meeting, emphasizing the Kingdom’s stance against extremism and terrorism. The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom’s contributions to global economic policies and emphasized the importance of investing in the multilateral trading system to support economic growth and human development.

The Kingdom’s position in the G20 meetings focused on balancing economic growth, energy security, and combating climate change. It emphasized leading in circular carbon economy technologies and exporting clean energy to become a global leader in clean energy production. The Cabinet hailed the Kingdom’s successful bid to host the 2026 International Association of Prosecutors Conference as a testament to its global influence in promoting justice and international judicial communication.

The Cabinet extended a provision in a previous royal order regarding labor lawsuits, requiring cases to be submitted to the Labor Office for amicable resolution before filing in the Labor Court. It also transferred the licensing authority for administrative consulting to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, with the Ministry of Commerce continuing to issue licenses for the next six months. Amendments to the Saudi Building Code Implementation Law were approved, emphasizing the occupancy certificate’s importance for electrical current release.

The Council authorized discussions and signing of a draft administrative agreement for the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for the Digital Development Partnership with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It also approved the organization of the World Energy Council Executive Assembly and Conference with the Saudi Ministry of Energy. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with the Singaporean Ministry of Law was authorized for discussion and signing by the Minister of Commerce and the Chairman of the National Competitiveness Center.

In conclusion, the Council of Ministers under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to international cooperation, cybersecurity, economic development, and combating terrorism. The Cabinet’s decisions and approvals reflect Saudi Arabia’s dedication to promoting justice, sustainability, and technological advancement on the global stage. The Kingdom’s proactive approach to addressing regional and international challenges demonstrates its leadership and vision for a prosperous and secure future for all.
