Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa, the secretary general of the Muslim World League (MWL) and chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, recently met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens. The meeting covered a wide range of topics of mutual interest, with Sheikh Al-Issa highlighting Islamic values of peaceful coexistence and tolerance. He expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality shown to him during his visit and commended the prime minister for his positive views on Islam’s contributions to human civilization.

In addition to his meeting with the prime minister, Sheikh Al-Issa also held talks with Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece. Together, they discussed the important role that religious leaders play in addressing religious and ethnic conflicts on a global scale. Their discussions emphasized the need for cooperation and understanding among different faith communities in order to promote peace and unity.

During his visit to Greece, Sheikh Al-Issa met with muftis, preachers, and other Islamic figures in the country. They praised the MWL’s international efforts in serving the Muslim Ummah and its broader mission to improve the well-being of all humanity. The discussions focused on the ways in which religious leaders can work together to promote tolerance and understanding among diverse communities, both within Greece and around the world.

One of the highlights of Sheikh Al-Issa’s trip was a visit to the Athens Mosque, where he had the opportunity to engage with the local Muslim community. The mosque serves as an important center for Islamic worship and community activities in the Greek capital, and Sheikh Al-Issa’s visit underscored the MWL’s commitment to supporting and empowering Muslim communities in countries around the world.

Overall, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa’s visit to Greece was marked by productive discussions on the importance of interfaith dialogue and cooperation in promoting peace and understanding among diverse communities. The meetings with Greek leaders and religious figures highlighted the shared values of tolerance and coexistence that unite people of different faiths and backgrounds. As the MWL continues its global mission to foster goodwill and cooperation among nations, Sheikh Al-Issa’s visit to Greece served as a testament to the power of dialogue and engagement in building a more harmonious world.
