PureHealth, the largest healthcare platform in the Middle East, has made a significant investment of Dh1 billion in local procurement to support the National ICV Programme in the UAE. This initiative is part of the country’s national industrial strategy, which aims to increase the industrial sector’s contribution to the GDP to Dh300 billion by 2031. The company recently showcased its progress towards its Dh13 billion target in local procurement by 2032 at the Make it in the Emirates Forum in Abu Dhabi.

Since joining the National ICV Programme in 2022, PureHealth has committed to supporting local healthcare manufacturing capabilities, creating employment opportunities, and delivering top-notch health services. This commitment includes providing offtakes to help boost the country’s economy and social development. The company has extended its ICV strategies to its subsidiaries, such as SEHA, Rafed, and Daman, to strengthen its ICV framework efforts.

In August 2023, SEHA, a subsidiary of PureHealth, achieved an impressive ICV score of 79.1 percent, the highest among healthcare companies in the UAE. Additionally, Daman, another entity under PureHealth, attained an ICV score of 71.83 percent. This demonstrates the company’s dedication to promoting local procurement and supporting the UAE’s industrial and economic growth.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, emphasized the importance of the ICV Programme in enhancing the country’s industrial and advanced technology sectors, as well as supporting local and international investors. The Ministry is committed to promoting the ICV Programme as part of the UAE’s “Projects of the 50” initiative to create an attractive investment environment in line with the country’s strategic vision.

Shaista Asif, Group CEO of PureHealth, highlighted the company’s pride in being a leading participant in the Make it in the Emirates Forum and its commitment to supporting local value chains. By announcing strong progress towards spending Dh13 billion with local suppliers over the next decade, PureHealth is not only contributing to national health security but also playing a crucial role in driving industrial and economic growth in the UAE. The company’s participation in the forum underscores its dedication to supporting the country’s economic and social development through local procurement initiatives.
