Apple has made an announcement regarding a change in its executive team, with Kevan Parekh being promoted to Chief Financial Officer starting January 1, 2025. Parekh, currently the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Apple, will be taking over the role from the incumbent CFO Luca Maestri. Maestri will transition to lead the Corporate Services teams, reporting to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Tim Cook praised Luca Maestri for his exceptional leadership in managing Apple’s financial performance and driving the company’s growth over the years. He expressed his gratitude for Maestri’s contribution and stated that Apple will continue to benefit from his leadership. Cook also commended Parekh, who has been a member of Apple’s finance leadership team for over a decade. He described Parekh as possessing sharp intellect, wise judgment, and financial brilliance, making him the perfect choice for the CFO role.

Luca Maestri shared his enthusiasm for the next stage of his career at Apple, expressing confidence in Parekh’s ability to take over as CFO. Maestri highlighted Parekh’s deep love for Apple and its mission, as well as his leadership qualities and values that are crucial for the role. Parekh, who is of Indian origin, has been with Apple for 11 years and has held various leadership positions within the company, including leading Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, and Market Research.

Prior to his current role, Parekh led Worldwide Sales, Retail, and Marketing Finance at Apple. He also has extensive global experience from his previous senior leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and General Motors. Parekh holds a Bachelor’s of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago. His background and experience make him well-suited to take on the responsibilities of CFO at Apple.

This announcement reflects Apple’s commitment to promoting talent from within the company and recognizing the contributions of its long-standing employees. Parekh’s elevation to CFO demonstrates Apple’s confidence in his abilities and leadership potential. With his financial acumen and deep understanding of Apple’s operations, Parekh is expected to continue driving the company’s growth and success in the future.

Overall, the transition in Apple’s executive team marks a significant milestone for the company as it prepares for a new chapter under Kevan Parekh’s leadership as CFO. With the support of Luca Maestri and Tim Cook, Parekh is poised to steer Apple towards continued financial success and innovation in the years to come.
