Apple’s latest event at the Observatory building in Apple Park showcased the much-anticipated iPhone 16 lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models. The event, led by CEO Tim Cook, highlighted the new advancements in technology, with a focus on the larger displays, improved battery life, and advanced features of the new iPhones.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max come in striking new colours such as Dark Black Titanium and Natural Titanium, with the promise of the best battery life ever seen in an iPhone. Powered by the A18 Pro chip, these devices offer faster performance and enhanced AI features, including a 16-core neural engine capable of 35 trillion operations per second.
The camera system in the iPhone 16 Pro series is equally impressive, with a 48MP fusion camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a 5x telephoto lens for enhanced photographic capabilities. Video recording capabilities have been improved, with support for 4K120 capture and frame-by-frame colour grading in Dolby Vision, along with advanced spatial audio features for an immersive experience.
Apple has also introduced the new MagSafe ecosystem with clear and silicone cases, faster-charging options, and packaging made from 100 per cent fibre-based materials. Pricing for the iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999 for the 128GB model, with pre-orders starting soon and availability set for September 20.
