The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) recently announced the launch of its official mobile app, NSEIndia, and the expansion of its corporate website, www.nseindia.com, to include content in eleven regional languages. This move was made in celebration of Diwali, reflecting NSE’s commitment to democratizing financial information and making it easier for investors across India to participate in the country’s capital markets. With this initiative, NSE now offers content in a total of twelve languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu, in addition to English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati.

The expansion into multiple regional languages aims to reach investors across linguistic and regional barriers, encouraging increased engagement and inclusivity within India’s financial ecosystem. The NSEIndia mobile app, now available on both the Apple App Store and Android Play Store, promises users an intuitive and secure experience while on the go. Key features of the app include an overview of indices, market snapshots, market trends, and turnover, as well as quick summaries of Nifty 50’s top gainers, losers, and most active stocks. Additionally, the app offers a convenient stock search and personalized watchlist feature, along with a specialized option chain section for easy access to options trading data.

Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer at NSE, expressed pride in these new initiatives, stating that they are transformative steps towards creating a more inclusive and accessible financial ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of empowering investors by providing intuitive tools, near real-time insights, and the convenience of accessing market information in their native language. By bringing the markets closer to every individual, regardless of their background, NSE aims to ensure that all investors can confidently participate in India’s economic journey.

Overall, the launch of the NSEIndia mobile app and the expansion of NSE’s website to include content in multiple regional languages are significant milestones in the exchange’s ongoing commitment to India’s capital market. These initiatives are designed to make financial information more accessible and user-friendly, catering to a wider audience and fostering increased engagement in the country’s financial markets. By offering intuitive tools, near real-time insights, and personalized features, NSE is working towards creating a more inclusive and empowering environment for investors across India.
