The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) recently participated in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event focused on transforming travel through entrepreneurship and featured 28 leading exhibitors from Bahrain’s tourism industry. With thousands of exhibitors from 155 countries in attendance, BTEA showcased Bahrain’s unique blend of cultural heritage and modernity, highlighting tourist attractions and experiences available for booking.

During the ATM, BTEA presented interactive AR presentations allowing visitors to immerse themselves in Bahrain’s traditional hospitality, explore landmarks, and experience the Kingdom’s folklore, cuisine, architecture, and fashion. The CEO, Her Excellency Sarah Buhijji, expressed enthusiasm for promoting Bahrain as a premier tourism destination globally, with a focus on engaging directly with key markets outlined in Bahrain’s tourism strategy for 2022-2026.

By participating in the ATM, BTEA aims to provide favorable opportunities for private sector partners to establish fruitful deals and partnerships in the hospitality, tourism, and travel technology sectors. The CEO highlighted the importance of staying informed about global developments and investing wisely to maintain leadership and competitiveness in the tourism industry. The collective presence of Bahraini tourism facilities at the event signifies the Kingdom’s efforts to integrate and harmonize the tourism sector.

BTEA’s goal is not only to attract more visitors and tourists to Bahrain, boosting employment rates, but also to propel Bahrain’s tourism journey with excellence. By setting new benchmarks and achieving remarkable milestones, the Authority is committed to realizing the ambitious objectives outlined in Bahrain’s tourism strategy. The unified display at the ATM reflects the Authority’s efforts to showcase the seamless integration and harmony within Bahrain’s tourism sector, from air transport and reservation offices to tour operators, hotels, and resorts.

Overall, BTEA’s participation in the Arabian Travel Market serves as a platform to promote Bahrain’s tourism offerings on a global scale, attract visitors, and strengthen partnerships within the industry. With a focus on excellence, innovation, and competitiveness, the Kingdom aims to set new standards in the tourism sector and achieve remarkable milestones in the years to come.
