His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed their condolences to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan following the death of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, a prominent figure in the UAE leadership. Sheikh Tahnoon was a close adviser to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and held various important positions within the government.

HM the King and HRH Prince Salman also sent their condolences to other key figures in the UAE, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The UAE has announced an official mourning period of seven days, during which flags will be flown at half-mast in honor of Sheikh Tahnoon.

Sheikh Tahnoon’s passing is a significant loss for the UAE, as he played a vital role in the country’s development and governance. He was involved in key decision-making processes and held important positions such as deputy chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, chairman of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and deputy chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council.

The relationship between Bahrain and the UAE has always been strong, with the two countries collaborating on various regional and international issues. The condolences sent by HM the King and HRH Prince Salman reflect the close ties between the two nations and the mutual respect they have for each other.

Sheikh Tahnoon’s legacy will continue to live on through his contributions to the UAE and his impact on the country’s development. His passing is a reminder of the importance of strong leadership and dedication to serving the nation, values that are shared by both Bahrain and the UAE.

The UAE will honor Sheikh Tahnoon’s memory during the official mourning period, allowing citizens and leaders to pay their respects and reflect on his significant contributions to the country. His passing marks the end of an era, but his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of leaders in the UAE and beyond.
