Annual General Meeting of the Oman Switzerland Friendship Association appoints new board members

The Oman Switzerland Friendship Association (OSFA) recently held its Annual General Meeting, where they discussed the activities of the Association over the past year. One of the highlights was the successful Business Forum in Lucerne, Switzerland. The audited financials for 2023 were approved, and it was an election year for the next three-year term. Six of the seven Board Members were re-elected, with Ziyana Saud Al Mudhaffer being the newly elected member. The new Board will soon meet to discuss plans for 2024.

The Association Chairman, Hani Al Zubair, expressed gratitude to the Membership for their continued support. He also thanked His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their guidance and support since the Association’s establishment. The newly elected Board Members include Hani Al Zubair, Luca Decarli, Mohammed Abdullah Al Kharusi, Dr. Anka Kaestner, Said bin Saif Al Maskery, Lateef Shahdad, and Ziyana Saud Al Mudhaffer. The Board will work together to strategize and plan for the upcoming year.

The Annual General Meeting was held at The Zubair Corporation and online. The meeting not only discussed past activities but also laid out a vision for the future. The newly elected Board Members bring a diverse set of skills and experiences to the table, which will help in furthering the goals of the Association. With the support of the Membership and guidance from reputable sources, the Association is well-positioned to make a positive impact in 2024.

The successful Business Forum in Lucerne, Switzerland, was a testament to the hard work of the Association over the past year. The event provided a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among members. The audited financials for the year ending 2023 were also approved, demonstrating transparency and accountability within the Association. The re-election of six Board Members shows continuity and stability in leadership.

The newly elected Ziyana Saud Al Mudhaffer brings fresh perspective and ideas to the Board, replacing Khalid Said Al Wahaibi. The Board Members are committed to working together to ensure the success of the Association in 2024. With plans to meet soon and discuss strategies for the upcoming year, the Board is keen on implementing initiatives that will benefit the Members and strengthen the bond between Oman and Switzerland.
