Amir conducts official meeting with Prime Minister of Norway

Oslo: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway HE Jonas Gahr Store engaged in official talks at the Government Guest House in Oslo. The Prime Minister of Norway warmly welcomed the Amir and his delegation, highlighting the strong and cooperative relations between the two countries. He expressed his hopes that the Amir’s visit would further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields.

HH the Amir expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized his commitment to enhancing cooperation with Norway. With over 50 years of diplomatic relations, he emphasized the importance of broadening partnerships in areas such as investment, economy, energy, and international cooperation. The discussions also touched upon regional and international developments, particularly focusing on Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories.

The session was attended by key officials from both countries, including HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi and HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater. On Norway’s side, Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Energy HE Terje Aasland were present. Prior to the official talks, the Amir and the Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting to delve into various issues and mutual interests.

Overall, the talks aimed to enhance bilateral relations and explore areas for further development and collaboration. The discussions not only focused on strengthening ties in economic and energy sectors, but also highlighted the importance of international cooperation.
