Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion, and Daniil Medvedev both secured spots in the Wimbledon semi-finals, setting up a rematch of last year’s semi-final. Alcaraz defeated Tommy Paul in four sets, rallying back after dropping the first set. Medvedev, on the other hand, stunned world number one Jannik Sinner in a thrilling five-set match where Sinner suffered a mid-match health scare.

Alcaraz, seeking his fourth Grand Slam title, is on track to become just the sixth man to win the French Open and Wimbledon titles in consecutive years. He expressed confidence in facing Medvedev again in the semi-finals, acknowledging the Russian’s great form after defeating Sinner in a hard-fought battle.

Medvedev, playing in his ninth Grand Slam semi-final, avenged his Australian Open final loss to Sinner. Despite a tough first set, Medvedev managed to come out on top in the tie-break before Sinner required medical treatment for dizziness. The match saw a back-and-forth battle before Medvedev finished stronger to secure the victory.

In the women’s draw, Donna Vekic reached her first Slam semi-final by defeating Lulu Sun in a three-set thriller. Vekic expressed her perseverance throughout the match, noting that she felt like she was “dying” in the first two sets but managed to push through to claim the win. Italian Jasmine Paolini also booked her spot in the semi-finals after a dominant victory over Emma Navarro.

The remaining quarter-finals in both the men’s and women’s draws promise exciting matchups, with Novak Djokovic, Elena Rybakina, and other top players vying for a spot in the semi-finals. The Wimbledon Championships continue to deliver thrilling tennis action, with players showcasing their skills on the grass courts at The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

As the tournament progresses, fans can expect more intense matches, unexpected upsets, and moments of brilliance from the top players in the world. The semi-finals and finals of Wimbledon are sure to provide viewers with unforgettable tennis moments and showcase the talent and determination of the competitors vying for the prestigious titles. Stay tuned for more updates on the Wimbledon Championships and witness history in the making on the grass courts of southwest London.
