Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) recently announced two strategic partnerships at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024, demonstrating its commitment to technological innovation and environmental sustainability. One of the partnerships is with Bahrain-based ARRAY Innovation, focusing on advancing Alba’s Industry 4.0 transformation. ARRAY Innovation will implement AI, machine learning, and data analytics solutions to optimize Alba’s manufacturing processes, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and align with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, emphasized the significance of this partnership in accelerating Alba’s Industry 4.0 journey. In another groundbreaking announcement, Alba and Daiki Aluminium Industry Company Ltd. unveiled plans to establish Alba-Daiki Sustainable Solutions (ADSS), a joint venture dedicated to sustainable aluminium dross processing. The facility, scheduled to launch operations by September 2026, will contribute significantly to environmental stewardship in the Gulf region. Alba will hold a 70% stake in ADSS, with Daiki Aluminium owning the remaining 30%.
H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, commended the joint venture as a testament to Bahrain’s appeal as a global investment hub.
