Al Sarraf and Al Jabsheh stand out in the second round of the Qatar Drift Championship.

The 2024/2025 Qatar Drift Championship recently took place at the Qatar Racing Club (QRC), where Kuwaiti driver Salem Al Sarraf and Qatar’s Yazan Al Jabsheh emerged as champions. The event, held under the patronage of QRC Chairman H E Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, saw top drift champions from the Gulf and the region participate. The podium winners were honored by QRC General Manager H E Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani and Basil Salem Al Sabah Motor Sports Club Director Al Mutairi.

The competition kicked off with test sessions, where Ali Makhseed topped the charts. In the local category, Ali Al Jabsheh secured the top spot, with Qatari driver Saud Al Atiyah following closely behind. Salem Al Sarraf, who faced a severe accident during testing, managed to secure the 13th position. Following qualifying trials, intense matchups took place in the first round, with top drivers like Makhseed, Abu Shaibah, Al Sarraf, and Al Jabsheh advancing to the next round.

For the local category, Al Jabsheh claimed victory for the second consecutive round, while Mustafa and Abu Rshaid grabbed the second and third spots on the podium, respectively. In the semi-finals, Al Sarraf faced off against Abu Shaibah, securing his spot in the final, while Falah defeated Khourshid to advance. Falah encountered car issues, leading to his second-place finish, while Al Sarraf emerged as the champion, marking his second podium finish of the season.

The event concluded with the presentation of trophies to the podium winners by QRC General Manager Sheikh Jabor and Basil Salem Al Sabah Motor Sports Club Director Al Mutairi. The second round of the championship was brought to a close, with preparations underway for the upcoming round scheduled for December. The competition showcased top talent from the region, with thrilling matchups and unexpected outcomes keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the event. Congratulations to Salem Al Sarraf and Yazan Al Jabsheh on their well-deserved victories in the Qatar Drift Championship.
