Al Ahli’s victory over Al Shamal in the Qatar Cup basketball quarter-finals was fueled by Raekwon Deshawn Rogers’ impressive performance, scoring 25 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists. The team’s balanced scoring attack also saw contributions from Bruce Massey Jr. with 16 points, Mahmoud Luay Darwish with 15 points, and Moustapha Ndao with 14 points. Defensively, Al Ahli was able to contain Al Shamal’s offense, limiting their top scorers to lower point totals.

The win secured Al Ahli’s spot in the semi-finals, where they will face off against Al Gharafa. The defending champions, Al Arabi, will take on Al Sadd in the other semi-final matchup on Saturday. With the combination of Rogers’ scoring outburst and the team’s solid defensive effort, Al Ahli will look to continue their momentum and advance to the finals of the Qatar Cup. The team will need to maintain their focus and intensity as they prepare to face tough competition in the upcoming rounds.

Bruce Massey Jr. also played a crucial role in Al Ahli’s victory, adding 16 points to the team’s total. Massey Jr.’s scoring output, along with his contributions on both ends of the floor, helped Al Ahli control the pace of the game and build a comfortable lead over Al Shamal. With Massey Jr. and Rogers leading the way, Al Ahli’s offense was firing on all cylinders, making it difficult for their opponents to keep up. The duo’s chemistry and ability to execute plays effectively will be key factors in the team’s success moving forward in the tournament.

In addition to Rogers and Massey Jr.’s strong performances, Mahmoud Luay Darwish and Moustapha Ndao also made significant contributions to Al Ahli’s victory. Darwish added 15 points to the team’s scoring output, while Ndao chipped in with 14 points of his own. The balanced scoring from multiple players on the team showcased Al Ahli’s depth and versatility on offense, making them a formidable team to contend with in the Qatar Cup. As Al Ahli prepares for their semi-final matchup against Al Gharafa, they will look to continue spreading the scoring load and maintain their offensive efficiency to secure a spot in the finals.

Despite Al Shamal’s efforts to stay competitive in the game, they were ultimately unable to overcome Al Ahli’s offensive firepower. Brandon Desmond led the way for Al Shamal with 22 points, while Faris Avdic added 13 points in a losing effort. The team’s inability to contain Al Ahli’s top scorers and establish a defensive presence proved to be their downfall in the quarter-final matchup. Moving forward, Al Shamal will need to regroup and address their defensive shortcomings in order to bounce back in future competitions.

In summary, Al Ahli’s dominant performance in the quarter-finals of the Qatar Cup basketball tournament showcased their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity. Led by Raekwon Deshawn Rogers’ standout performance, along with contributions from Bruce Massey Jr., Mahmoud Luay Darwish, and Moustapha Ndao, the team secured a spot in the semi-finals. With a balanced scoring attack and solid defensive effort, Al Ahli will look to carry their momentum into the next round and compete for a chance to claim the championship title. The team’s chemistry and cohesion on both ends of the floor will be critical in facing tough competition and emerging victorious in the upcoming matches.
