Shop Qatar, the nation’s largest shopping and entertainment festival, kicked off on January 1, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony at Place Vendome. Themed “Your Shopping Playground,” the month-long festival will offer a diverse blend of retail, culture, and family-friendly entertainment until February 1, 2025. The event featured a stunning performance by Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme, along with colourful parades and engaging activities, creating a lively atmosphere for guests. Ahmed Albinali, the Director of Festivals & Events at Visit Qatar, expressed his excitement for this year’s edition, stating that Shop Qatar has become a beloved tradition in the event calendar of Qatar.
Building on the success of previous editions, Shop Qatar 2025 is set to provide an action-packed lineup of experiences, with exclusive offers from luxury, highstreet, and local retailers. Every Friday, a weekly raffle draw will take place, rewarding winners with exceptional prizes such as luxury Exeed cars, cash rewards ranging from QAR 10,000 to QAR 100,000, and the grand prize of a Tesla Cybertruck. Interactive activity corners will also be available for residents and visitors to enjoy, including games, roaming parades, and meet-and-greets with beloved Spacetoon characters. The closing ceremony, scheduled for February 1, 2025, at Doha Festival City, will feature the final raffle draw with the announcement of the Tesla Cybertruck winner and other major prizes. Weekly draws will take place at different locations throughout January, with the final draw on February 1 at Doha Festival City.
