Heritage Ministry hosts workshop on medical and wellness tourism in Oman

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman recently organized a workshop on “Medical and Wellness Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman” to promote the country as a destination for healthcare tourism. The workshop, held under the patronage of Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, aimed to develop a roadmap for launching a model of medical and wellness tourism in Oman and promoting it locally, regionally, and globally.

One of the main objectives of the workshop was to explore ways to encourage tourism and health establishments in Oman to showcase their best products and practices to attract more visitors. It also looked at integrating medical and wellness tourism into the services offered by these facilities. The workshop discussed the readiness of tourist destinations in Oman to promote medical tourism and examined the legal measures related to this sector. Additionally, the workshop highlighted best practices and models for health services, investment, and tourism promotion in Oman.

During the workshop, two panel discussions were held to elaborate on different aspects of medical and wellness tourism in Oman.
