Shura Deputy Speaker Conducts Bilateral Meeting at Woman of the Third Millennium Forum in Moscow

During her visit to Moscow for the Third International Forum Woman of the Third Millennium, HE Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, met with several high-ranking officials from Russia to discuss parliamentary cooperation and ways to enhance it. One of the meetings was with HE First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov, where they discussed existing cooperation between the two countries and explored ways to further develop it. They also addressed various topics on the forum’s agenda, focusing on issues related to women’s empowerment and participation in societal development.

Additionally, Dr. Al Sulaiti met with HE Andrey Yatskin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, to continue discussions on parliamentary cooperation and ways to strengthen ties between the two countries. The meeting highlighted the importance of legislative councils in addressing women’s issues, supporting their participation in development, and enhancing their status in society. These discussions are crucial in promoting gender equality and empowering women to play an active role in the political and economic spheres.

Another important meeting during Dr. Al Sulaiti’s visit was with HE President of the International Women’s Union Alfiya Amirova. They discussed various issues related to the role of legislative councils in addressing women’s issues and supporting their participation in societal building. This meeting underscored the need for continued collaboration between countries to promote women’s rights and create a more inclusive and equitable society for all individuals.

In a related context, Dr. Al Sulaiti also met with HE Elena Gennadievna, Member of the Council for Financial, Industrial, and Investment Policies at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The discussion focused on topics of joint interest, highlighting the importance of economic cooperation between countries and the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships. By engaging in dialogue on areas of common concern, both countries can work towards shared goals and promote economic growth and development.

Overall, Dr. Al Sulaiti’s meetings in Moscow during the Third International Forum Woman of the Third Millennium were aimed at strengthening parliamentary cooperation between Qatar and Russia, particularly in the areas of women’s empowerment and gender equality. These discussions with high-ranking officials from Russia highlighted the importance of collaboration in addressing pressing issues facing women and promoting their participation in societal development.
