Lt. Gen. Al-Bassami emphasized that the digital vehicle plate wallet service is a significant step towards modernizing and digitizing the services provided by the Ministry of Interior. This initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance the user experience and improve the quality of services offered to the public. The digital vehicle plate wallet service was launched in a ceremony held at the directorate’s headquarters in Riyadh, with Lt. Gen. Al-Bassami leading the initiative. The service is available through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher, allowing users to access their vehicle plate ownership documents digitally. This eliminates the need for physical copies of documents and enables owners to retain ownership rights until the plate is registered with the vehicle. This first phase of the service is aimed at winners of electronic auctions, providing them with a more convenient and efficient way to manage their vehicle plate records.

In the subsequent phases of the digital vehicle plate wallet service, users will be able to manage all aspects of their vehicle plate services through the digital wallet system. This includes ownership rights and registration processes, without the need to physically register the plate on a vehicle. The service is designed to offer reliable and secure digital solutions that simplify the management of vehicle plate records. By enabling users to access and update their information remotely, the service enhances convenience and flexibility, making it easier for individuals to handle their vehicle plate-related tasks.

Director General of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami highlighted the importance of the digital vehicle plate wallet service in facilitating the digital transformation of the ministry’s services. With the support and guidance of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the ministry is committed to leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and improve the user experience. By embracing the latest innovations and digital enablers, Public Security aims to modernize its processes and provide individuals with more efficient and convenient ways to access and manage their vehicle plate records. This initiative reflects the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services and embrace digital solutions to meet the evolving needs of the public.
