The Ministry of Social Development and Family in Doha, Qatar kicked off the ‘Home Grown Exhibition’ today, as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture. The event, which will run until November 7 at M7 in Msheireb City, aims to showcase the interconnectedness and harmony between Qatari and Moroccan cultures. The exhibition is a joint effort between the Ministry, the Social and Sport Contribution Fund, and Qatar Museums.
With the presence of HE Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al-Thani, the exhibition features the participation of Qatari and Moroccan production projects. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar, HE Mohamed Setri, highlighted the cultural ties and commonalities between the two countries, emphasizing the depth of their fraternal relations.
Nine diverse Qatari projects, three youth initiatives, and five projects from the Kingdom of Morocco are taking part in the exhibition. The showcased projects include leather printing, gifts, jewelry, event organization, cosmetics, perfumes, incense, and more. In addition to the exhibition, there are various training workshops open to the public, such as the flower arrangement workshop and the ‘Prints without borders’ initiative presentation.
With the aim of integrating Qatari and Moroccan cultures, the ‘Home Grown Exhibition’ seeks to enhance cooperation between the two countries in production and marketing. The event serves as a platform for promoting cultural exchange and fostering collaboration between Qatari and Moroccan artisans and entrepreneurs.
