Red Sea Global, the developer of The Red Sea and AMAALA, has announced the opening of Shebara, a luxury resort in Saudi Arabia set to welcome guests in November 2024. The resort promises to redefine tourism through a blend of luxury, sustainability, and innovation, providing access to pristine marine environments for guests to explore. Built on the Saudi tradition of Hafawah, Shebara offers unique and memorable experiences rooted in generosity and kindness.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, expressed his excitement for the opening of Shebara, highlighting the resort’s commitment to innovative design and sustainable tourism. With 73 overwater and beachfront villas, Shebara offers guests a luxurious experience against the backdrop of the Red Sea. Premium amenities include a fitness center, exceptional dining options by Michelin-starred chefs, and a nature-inspired spa sanctuary.
Shebara’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its architecture, which features unique stainless-steel orbs that blend seamlessly with the island’s environment. The resort is powered by its own solar farm and showcases Red Sea Global’s dedication to responsible development. Accessed by a 30 to 40-minute boat ride or a 30-minute seaplane flight from Red Sea International Airport, Shebara offers guests a tranquil escape into nature and wellness.
Red Sea International Airport, located within three hours’ flying time of 250 million people, provides convenient access to Shebara. Since September 2023, the airport has hosted domestic flights, with international routes starting in April 2024. This includes a twice-weekly service connecting The Red Sea to Dubai International, making Shebara easily reachable for guests from around the world. As the first resort owned and operated by Red Sea Global, Shebara marks a significant milestone for the developer and Saudi tourism. With its focus on luxury, sustainability, and unique experiences, Shebara is set to become a standout destination in the region.
