The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) in Bahrain recently conducted 1,708 inspection campaigns and visits from 6 to 12 October 2024. These efforts led to the detention of 28 violating and irregular workers, with 180 violators being deported. Various violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws were monitored, and legal actions were taken as necessary. The inspections also included 1,679 visits to shops across all governorates, along with 29 joint campaigns involving different government entities.

During the inspection campaigns, violations of regulating laws were noted, especially those related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and Residency Laws in Bahrain. Legal actions were taken against these violations to ensure compliance with the law and maintain stability in the labour market. The LMRA conducted a total of 1,708 inspection campaigns and visits during the specified period, resulting in the detention and deportation of violators.

The government entities involved in the inspection campaigns included the Ministry of Interior, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and the respective Police Directorates of the governorates. Additionally, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority participated in the efforts to maintain regulatory compliance.

The LMRA emphasized the importance of continued coordination with government agencies to conduct intensive inspection campaigns across all governorates in Bahrain. These efforts are aimed at addressing any violations or practices that may negatively impact the stability and competitiveness of the labour market, as well as harm the economic and social security of the Kingdom. By working together with various entities, the LMRA aims to ensure that the labour market operates in a fair and lawful manner.

The joint inspection campaigns conducted by the LMRA and various government agencies are crucial in maintaining legal compliance and upholding the rights of both workers and employers in Bahrain. By monitoring and addressing violations of regulating laws, the authorities seek to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive while safeguarding the welfare of workers. These efforts also contribute to enhancing the overall economic and social security of the Kingdom.

In conclusion, the recent inspection campaigns conducted by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority in Bahrain have resulted in the detention and deportation of violators, highlighting the commitment to upholding the regulatory laws in the country. Through joint efforts with government entities, the LMRA continues to monitor and address violations to ensure a fair and competitive labour market. By maintaining regulatory compliance, the authorities are working towards enhancing the stability and security of the Kingdom’s economy and society.
