The New Longines Hathab season is ready to start tomorrow

The 8th edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour 2024-25 is set to begin at the Qatar Equestrian & Modern Pentathlon Federation’s indoor arena in Doha, Qatar. This annual domestic equestrian series features showjumping and dressage and will consist of 14 rounds, concluding on May 10, 2025. The first round will kick off with various levels of competition, ranging from 60cm to 145cm, including Future Riders, Small Tour, Amateur Class, Medium Tour, Open Class, and Big Tour.

The organising committee has completed all arrangements for the launch of the first round, which will be followed by competitions for the second round on October 10, 11, and 12. The tournament will continue with various rounds leading up to the 14th and final round on May 8, 9, and 10, 2025. This year, the championship in showjumping teams’ competition will see the participation of nine teams, including an all-women team called Al Salam, alongside Famaganis, Wathnan, Lekhwiya, and the Doha Bank teams.

The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour is a significant event in the equestrian community in Qatar, aiming to support and develop the level of equestrianism in the country. This championship provides a competitive platform for participants to enhance their skills and abilities while promoting cooperation and partnerships among local entities involved in equestrian sports. The tournament serves as a showcase for both experienced riders and emerging talent, fostering the growth of equestrianism in Qatar.

The schedule for the 1st Longines Hathab Tour includes a variety of classes and competitions for different levels of riders. The opening day includes a veterinary check and area familiarization, with competitions for Future Riders, Small Tour, and Amateur Class. Subsequent days feature events for Medium Tour and Open Class, culminating in the Big Tour competition on Saturday. The tournament offers a diverse range of classes to cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced competitors.

With the participation of nine teams in the showjumping teams’ competition, the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour promises to be an exciting and competitive event. The addition of an all-women team adds a new dimension to the tournament, showcasing the talent and skill of female riders in Qatar. The tournament’s format allows riders to compete in various classes and heights, providing them with valuable experience and opportunities to improve their performance in a competitive setting.
