Qatar Foundation recently concluded its summer camp, “Mukhayamna 2024,” which brought together 568 students from schools across the country to participate in various activities held in Education City. The seven-week program, organized by Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education, focused on developing skills in quantum computing, performing arts, sports, and leadership, while also promoting Islamic values and Qatari identity.

Rodha Al Saadi, Head of Community Engagement at QF, highlighted the expansion of the camp to run for the entire summer instead of the usual two weeks. This change allowed students to make the most of their time by participating in seven diverse programs. According to Al Saadi, the goal was to help students discover new skills and talents and continue developing them throughout the year with the programs offered by Qatar Foundation.

The camp offered a variety of programs to cater to different interests and ensure diversity among the participants. Al Saadi emphasized the importance of providing students with the opportunity to acquire new skills and make the most of their summer break. Additionally, the camp welcomed 20 children from Gaza who were evacuated to Qatar, providing them with a valuable opportunity to interact with other students and integrate into the community.

The participation of students with special abilities enriched the camp experience for everyone involved, promoting inclusivity and diversity among the participants. Qatar Foundation’s commitment to offering engaging and diverse programs during the summer camp reflects its dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds.

By focusing on developing skills in quantum computing, performing arts, sports, and leadership, the summer camp aimed to empower students and help them explore their interests and talents. The inclusion of activities that promote Islamic values and Qatari identity further emphasizes Qatar Foundation’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are proud of their heritage and culture.

Overall, the success of “Mukhayamna 2024” demonstrates Qatar Foundation’s ability to provide a supportive and enriching summer camp experience for students from diverse backgrounds. By expanding the program to offer a wider variety of activities and extending the duration, Qatar Foundation has shown its commitment to helping students develop new skills and talents while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
