Campaign Owner Predicts Decrease in Hajj Prices for Next Year

Jasim Abel Sahib, the owner of a prominent Hajj campaign, has made an announcement regarding the expected decrease in prices for next year’s Hajj pilgrimage. The cost is anticipated to start from 1,600 dinars, with variations depending on factors such as services provided outside the Kingdom, airfare, accommodations in Mecca or Medina, room sharing arrangements, and additional services. This price reduction is attributed to increased competition among Hajj campaigns and the transparency brought about by a new registration system.

The new registration system, which is facilitated through an e-government platform, allows citizens to directly register for Hajj without the need to go through individual campaigns. In previous years, the Bahraini pilgrimage mission allowed campaigns to merge and share returns among contractors. However, under the new system, contractors have the freedom to choose the number of pilgrims they wish to manage. They are required to pay 10,000 dinars as insurance for every 50 pilgrims, which will be refunded after the Hajj season.

The registration process is expected to be completed within a month, and campaigns with less than 90 registered pilgrims will be canceled. This will lead to the redistribution of pilgrims to other campaigns, fostering healthy competition and potentially driving prices lower. Additionally, the introduction of new campaigns this year will offer pilgrims more choices and contribute to the overall price reduction for the Hajj pilgrimage.

Applications for conducting campaigns were open from August 25 to September 8, with the insurance amount serving as a safeguard to ensure that campaigns can deliver adequate services to pilgrims. The approval process for these campaigns will be completed in the second phase, followed by the selection of Hajj pilgrims on the platform. This system marks a significant shift towards transparency and efficiency in organizing the annual Hajj pilgrimage for Bahraini citizens.

Overall, the anticipated decrease in prices for the upcoming Hajj season presents a favorable outlook for pilgrims looking to embark on this spiritual journey. The increased competition among Hajj campaigns and the implementation of a transparent registration system are paving the way for more affordable options for pilgrims. With the flexibility given to contractors in managing pilgrims and the insurance requirement in place, the new system is designed to ensure a smoother and more efficient process for all involved parties.

As the registration process progresses and campaigns are finalized, it is expected that more details will emerge regarding the specific services and accommodations offered to pilgrims. The upcoming Hajj season will not only be more cost-effective for Bahraini citizens but also provide them with a wider array of choices when selecting their preferred campaign. This shift towards a more competitive and transparent system is set to benefit both pilgrims and organizers alike, setting the stage for a successful and well-organized Hajj pilgrimage experience in the coming year.
