The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) announced that a two-month amnesty period will begin on September 1, during which no bans or fines will be imposed on individuals seeking to regularize their residency status in the UAE. This initiative covers all types of visas, including tourist and expired residency visas, as well as individuals born without documents who wish to rectify their status. The amnesty program provides an opportunity for those staying illegally in the country to either legalize their residency or leave without facing penalties.

The ICP emphasized that individuals who choose to exit the country can return at any time with the appropriate visa, and no overstay fines or exit fees will be collected during this amnesty period. This marks the fourth amnesty program launched by the UAE government since 2007, with the latest one taking place six years ago. Initially scheduled to run for 90 days from August 1 to October 31, 2018, the scheme was extended for an additional two months until December 31 of that year, allowing more residency violators to rectify their status or depart the country without facing consequences.

It is crucial for individuals in the UAE who are illegally staying in the country to take advantage of this amnesty program to avoid potential bans or fines. By making use of this opportunity, individuals can regularize their residency status or exit the country without any penalties, allowing them to return at a later time with the appropriate visa. The amnesty covers various types of visas, including tourist and expired residency visas, as well as individuals born without documents. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to facilitating the legal status of individuals residing in the UAE.

The amnesty program offers a unique chance for individuals to rectify their residency status and ensure compliance with the country’s laws and regulations. By participating in this initiative, individuals can avoid facing penalties for overstaying their visas or residing in the UAE without proper documentation. The government’s decision to launch this amnesty program demonstrates its commitment to supporting individuals in rectifying their residency status and providing them with a pathway to legalizing their stay in the country.

The UAE government’s decision to launch the fourth amnesty program showcases its dedication to assisting residents in rectifying their residency status and ensuring compliance with immigration laws. By availing of this amnesty, individuals can regularize their status without facing fines or bans, providing them with a unique opportunity to adhere to the country’s regulations. The government’s extension of the amnesty period further emphasizes its commitment to supporting individuals in rectifying their residency status and facilitating their legal stay in the UAE. Individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to avoid facing potential penalties and ensure compliance with immigration laws.
