As schools in Dubai resumed for a new academic year, Indian curriculum schools marked the beginning of a new term with over 80% attendance reported. The return to school after a two-month long summer break saw institutions engaging in various ice breaker activities to welcome students back. Delhi Private School saw an impressive 95% attendance rate on the first day of the second term, with teachers and students actively participating in engaging activities. The school’s principal, Rashmi Nandkeolyar, mentioned that senior students discussed internship experiences, shared summer stories, and set goals for the term.

Creative activities in schools included sharing vacation artifacts, crafting crowns, and playing interactive games to kick off the new term with enthusiasm. Despite some students struggling to reset their body clocks after the holidays, schools received a seamless start with many new students being welcomed into the school community. Amity School Dubai’s Principal, Sangita Chima, shared that the school witnessed about 75% attendance on the first day, with students engaging in ice breakers like scavenger hunts and chalk talk.

Other school leaders also reported positive attendance rates, with Ian Plant, Principal/CEO of GEMS Founders School – Dubai South, expressing delight in welcoming over 500 students for the new academic year. The school received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents on the smooth start to operations, demonstrating efficiency in planning and execution. The school’s dedication to serving the growing community in Dubai South was evident through the successful commencement of the academic year.

In conclusion, the start of the new academic year in Dubai saw schools welcoming students back with engaging activities and seamless operations. The high attendance rates and positive feedback from parents reflect the dedication of schools in providing a welcoming and efficient learning environment for students. As the academic year progresses, schools in Dubai continue to focus on nurturing students’ growth and learning experiences to ensure a successful and fulfilling educational journey. By prioritizing student engagement and community involvement, schools in Dubai set the stage for a productive and enriching academic year ahead.
