The 14th edition of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work has officially closed the submission period for the Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award. The organising committee received over 62 entries from civil society organisations, volunteer groups, and individuals across the Kingdom. Ali Buhazza, the committee’s chairman, emphasised the award’s significance in recognising contributions to voluntary development work and pioneering initiatives within the community. The submissions were processed through the dedicated website of the Good Word Society, which formed a specialised subcommittee to manage the submission process, sorting, and categorisation based on the award’s various categories.

The judging panel, consisting of Dr. Faleh Al Rowaili, Dr. Budoor Buhejji, and Mohammed Ahmadi, will commence evaluating the submissions on Saturday, August 31. The Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award aims to showcase the creativity of Bahraini youth in delivering volunteer projects that address societal issues and encourage innovative solutions to developmental challenges. The award is open to all age groups within Bahraini society, and the winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work in September, which will also celebrate the pioneers of voluntary work in the Arab world.
