Dubai to host Ice Obstacle Challenge on September 22 – Race on Snow

The 15th Ice Obstacle Challenge Championship, also known as the Snow Challenge, is set to take place on Sunday, September 22 at the Ski Dubai Snow Hall in the Mall of the Emirates. This event, organized by Dubai Sports Council and Majid Al Futtaim Company, has become a popular annual gathering for participants looking for a unique and exciting challenge. Registration for the event is open until Thursday, September 19, and interested individuals can secure their spot by signing up on the Premier Online website.

The race will feature 20 to 22 ice obstacles spread over a 3.5 km track, promising a thrilling and challenging experience for all participants. From climbing and rolling to running on ice at a temperature of 4 degrees below zero, competitors can expect a range of obstacles that will test their strength and endurance. The event is open to participants of all ages, with three competitive categories available – Elite, Individual, and Team. The Elite category is reserved for those who can complete the challenge in less than 25 minutes, while the Individual category is open to amateurs of all fitness levels. The Team category allows groups of five to participate and showcase their cooperation skills.

Participants can look forward to a range of obstacles at the event, including wall climbing, crawling over nets, rolling, jumping over hurdles, and swimming in cold water, among others. The challenge will kick off at 6:30 am, with competitors starting in groups and each participant required to have a race number and timing chip attached to their foot. Those who complete the race will receive a special medal and a Snow Challenge T-shirt as a token of their achievement. The event is expected to attract participants from around the world, providing a platform for individuals to test their physical abilities, form teams, and have fun in the snow.
