The recent riots in Bahrain have led to a number of individuals being detained, some of whom had previously been pardoned by royal decree. The Ministry of Interior has announced that legal proceedings are now underway against these individuals. It has stressed the importance of keeping the public informed of security matters and enhancing community relations. The Ministry confirmed that appropriate legal actions have been taken and multiple participants in the disturbances have been arrested.

It has been disclosed that some of the detainees had earlier been released under a royal pardon, which had granted clemency to convicts in various criminal cases. However, these individuals have reoffended, thereby squandering their opportunity to reintegrate into society. In addition, a number of those arrested were identified as minors, and legal processes have been initiated against them. The Ministry of Interior has stated that minors will be handed over to their guardians in accordance with Article 55 of the Restorative Justice for Children and Their Protection from Maltreatment. This law holds parents and guardians fully accountable for their children’s well-being as mandated by law.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that the handling of riots adheres to legal standards, as such events threaten public peace and social cohesion. It has stressed the importance of maintaining Bahrain’s stability as a national duty, urging everyone to protect the nation’s security and achievements. Overall, the Ministry affirmed that maintaining security is crucial for the well-being and progress of the country. It has called on all residents to cooperate and respect the laws in order to uphold peace and harmony in Bahrain.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Interior has reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of all residents. It has underlined the importance of maintaining social order and preventing disturbances that could disrupt the peace and stability of the nation. The Ministry has made it clear that legal proceedings will be carried out in accordance with the law, with a focus on promoting accountability and responsibility among all individuals, including parents and guardians of minors involved in criminal activities. By maintaining strict legal measures and enforcement actions, the Ministry aims to deter future unrest and ensure the well-being of all citizens in Bahrain.
