Air Chateau, a Dubai-based private aviation operator, has recently ordered 10 electric flying cars from Crisalion Mobility, a European mobility solution provider. These flying cars will be used as air taxi services in the UAE by 2030, marking the European company’s first commercial partnership in the Middle East. The Integrity air taxi, currently under development by Crisalion, can accommodate up to five passengers and a pilot, catering to urban and intercity passenger and cargo transport needs. With a speed of 180 kilometres per hour and a range of 130km, the Integrity aircraft is set to enter service in 2030.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia are actively expanding into air mobility by introducing air taxis as a mode of transport to reduce travel time significantly. Companies like Joby and Archer Aviation are also working on launching their flying cars in partnership with UAE companies next year. Air Chateau’s chairman, Samir Mohamed, highlighted Dubai as a key region for new mobility and expressed gratitude for the support received from Dubai South and UAE stakeholders. After establishing a presence in Dubai, the company aims to expand to other parts of the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Europe.

Air Chateau placed an order for 10 Integrity air taxis at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 in the UK, expanding Crisalion’s pre-order book to 125 aircraft within a year. The two companies will collaborate to launch air taxis in major cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the potential for joint projects in Europe. Manuel Heredia, the general manager of Crisalion Mobility, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership for the company’s expansion into new regions. By launching air taxis, Air Chateau aims to alleviate the burden on ground infrastructure, complement existing transportation networks, reduce congestion, and contribute to building a sustainable future.

As the demand for innovative transportation solutions grows, the partnership between Air Chateau and Crisalion Mobility reflects a commitment to sustainable air travel services. The integration of electric flying cars into the UAE’s transportation system signifies a shift towards more efficient and environmentally friendly modes of transport. By introducing air taxis, the companies aim to enhance mobility, reduce travel times, and support the region’s vision for a sustainable future. With plans to expand to other regions and potential joint projects in Europe, the partnership between Air Chateau and Crisalion Mobility heralds a new era in air transportation technology.
