Sidra Medicine in Doha, Qatar, has been attracting a growing number of international patients, with 221 patients from various countries seeking treatment at the facility so far this year. According to Nazmy Hamad, the Director of International Medical Affairs at Sidra Medicine, the facility received 180 international patients in 2022, which rose to 308 last year, marking a 30 percent increase.

The majority of international patients at Sidra Medicine come from Kuwait, with other nationalities including Lebanon, Afghanistan, Algeria, Jordan, the US, Greece, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Canada, India, Oman, and Sudan. Common conditions among international patients include rare genetic diseases like DMD, for which Sidra Medicine offers innovative treatments such as gene therapy. The facility has successfully treated patients from various countries and is recognized for its expertise in areas such as neurology, heart problems, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and plastic/craniofacial surgeries.

Sidra Medicine offers multidisciplinary pediatric care across various specialties, including plastic and craniofacial surgery, urology, nephrology, otolaryngology, oncology, neurology, neonatal care, fetal surgery, and more.
