The Katara Summer Camp 2024 in Doha kicked off with a variety of educational, entertaining, and cultural activities for children. The camp, organized by the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara, received positive feedback last year and decided to host it for the second consecutive year. With a focus on developing children’s abilities and skills, enhancing awareness of Qatari heritage, societal values, and national values, as well as providing cultural knowledge, the camp aims to offer a well-rounded experience for participants.

Salem Mubkhout Al Marri, the Director of Public Relations and Communication at Katara, highlighted the importance of the camp’s activities in achieving its intended goals. The program includes activities from various participating organizations, such as the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Al Jazeera Media Institute, Sout Al Khaleej Radio, and more. With a lineup of diverse activities, the camp aims to provide a holistic learning experience for children, combining entertainment with education and cultural enrichment.

Running until August 7, the Katara Summer Camp 2024 features activities scheduled four days a week to keep children engaged and entertained throughout the summer. From sports clubs to cultural institutions, the camp provides a platform for children to learn, grow, and explore new experiences in a fun and engaging environment.

In addition to offering fun and engaging activities, the camp also plays a role in building awareness of Qatar’s heritage, values, and cultural traditions among participants. By participating in activities organized by institutions such as Qatar Red Crescent Society, Al Shaqab, Al Thuraya Planetarium, and Poet Majles, children have the opportunity to learn more about their country’s history and culture while participating in hands-on experiences that promote learning and personal development.

The Katara Summer Camp 2024 serves as a valuable platform for children to expand their horizons, develop new skills, and make lasting memories.
