Triskelion Team wins Filipino basketball championship

The Triskelion Team showed their resilience and experience as they pulled off an upset victory against the heavy favorite Adliya Revolt team in the finale of the FCBG’s 5th Adliya Park Hoopsters Basketball Tournament. The thrilling 55-49 win crowned Triskelion as the champions of the Aspirants Division, with Khel Grisola named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the finals. This victory marked back-to-back titles for Triskelion, showcasing their dominance in the tournament.

The downfall of Adliya Revolt can be attributed to crucial turnovers and missed free throws in the later part of the fourth quarter, allowing Triskelion to capitalize and secure the win. Despite being the heavy favorite, Adliya Revolt could not maintain their composure under pressure, leading to their defeat at the hands of the eventual champions. This victory highlights the importance of focus and execution in critical moments of a game.

In the FCBG’s 40s and above division, Astig Basketball team claimed the third-place trophy by defeating Taif Contracting with a score of 84-81. On the other hand, Verminex emerged victorious in their matchup against Leica Geosystems in game 1 of the best-of-three finals series, setting the tone for an exciting championship battle. The competition in this division showcased the talent and competitiveness of the teams involved.

The main game of the tournament saw Verminex facing off against Zenjex Tigbas in the Inter-Kulay Division of the FCBG’s 45th Season 2nd Conference Master Cup. Verminex put on a dominant performance, securing a convincing victory and taking a 1-0 lead in the championship series. Their display of skill and teamwork highlighted their potential to claim the title, setting the stage for an intense battle in the remaining games of the series.

Overall, the FCBG’s 5th Adliya Park Hoopsters Basketball Tournament provided fans and participants with thrilling matchups and memorable moments. The success of Triskelion in the Aspirants Division, as well as the competitive matchups in the other divisions, showcased the passion and dedication of the teams involved.
