The Foreign Minister of Oman, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, recently received a phone call from Ismail Haniyeh, Head of Hamas Movement’s Political Bureau, to discuss the recent Israeli airstrikes on civilians in Gaza. The two talked about negotiations led by the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt to reach a ceasefire agreement and release prisoners. Sayyid Badr reiterated Oman’s strong support for the Palestinian cause and called upon the international community to put an end to the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians.

Ismail Haniyeh expressed his gratitude for Oman’s support and emphasized the importance of continuous communication and dialogue to end the crisis. He mentioned that Hamas has approved the ceasefire project proposed by the U.S. and has responded positively to the efforts of Qatar and Egypt. The goal is to implement relevant international resolutions and bring peace to the region through constructive global efforts.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine has taken a toll on innocent civilians, especially women, children, and the elderly. Sayyid Badr stressed the need for urgent international action to protect the Palestinian population and provide necessary humanitarian assistance. He condemned Israel’s actions as terrorist crimes and called for accountability for the ongoing aggressions against the Palestinian people.

The talks between Oman and Hamas come at a crucial time as efforts are being made to reach a ceasefire agreement and release prisoners. The support of Oman and other Arab countries is vital in bringing an end to the violence and finding a lasting solution to the conflict. The involvement of the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt in negotiations shows a commitment to peace in the region.

The willingness of Hamas to engage in constructive dialogue and approve the ceasefire project is a positive development in the efforts to end the crisis. The support of Oman and other countries in the region is key to building trust and creating a conducive environment for negotiations. The global community must continue to work together to implement international resolutions and bring about a sustainable peace in the Middle East.

In conclusion, the phone call between Sayyid Badr and Ismail Haniyeh highlights the ongoing efforts to bring an end to the violence in Gaza and reach a ceasefire agreement. The support of Oman and other Arab countries is crucial in finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The international community must continue to work together to protect civilians, provide humanitarian assistance, and hold those responsible for the violence accountable. Together, through dialogue and cooperation, a lasting peace in the region can be achieved.
