Sheikh Mohammed evaluates improvements and facilities at DXB Terminal 3

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, recently visited Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport to inspect the ongoing work and operations. During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed observed daily activities in all airport departments and reviewed protocols in place to assist travellers with their travel procedures. He also personally inspected different sections of the airport and inquired about the facilities provided to departing and arriving passengers, receiving assurance from airport authorities regarding the quality of services.

The airport has witnessed a significant increase in the number of travellers during the first quarter of 2024, with 23 million passengers, representing an 8.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the development of Terminal 3 and its facilities, departments, and equipment, emphasizing that Dubai International Airport is a cultural interface that reflects the city’s aspirations for the future. He highlighted the continuous efforts to enhance the airport experience for travellers and provide excellence in infrastructure, services, and advanced technologies for their comfort and safety.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed praised the extraordinary performance of Dubai International Airport and its consistent record growth rates in international passenger numbers, making it synonymous with world-class service and quality in the aviation and travel sector. He noted that these achievements are aligned with the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aimed at doubling the size of Dubai’s economy and positioning it among the top three urban economies globally. The commitment to excellence and innovation in all sectors, including aviation, is part of Dubai’s vision for the future, ensuring the city remains a preferred destination for global travellers.

The visit to Terminal 3 also included high-ranking officials such as Lieutenant General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed acknowledged the exceptional efforts of all airport teams in aligning with Dubai’s vision for the future, where innovation and excellence are paramount across various industries. As an essential part of Dubai’s ambitious vision, Dubai International Airport will continue to strive for greater success and ensure it meets international standards of service and quality.
