Karin Belbeisi and Christina Rach are two talented swimmers from Dubai who have qualified for the Paris Games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11. Karin, a 15-year-old student at GEMS Wellington Academy – Al Khail, will be representing Jordan in the 400m freestyle event, while Christina, a 16-year-old student at GEMS Wellington International School, will swim for Eritrea in the 50-meter freestyle event. Both girls have been training hard for this opportunity to compete on the world’s biggest stage.

Karin discovered her love for swimming at the age of four and has been dedicated to the sport ever since. Her parents recognized her passion for swimming early on and supported her journey to the Olympics. Christina also started swimming at a young age and credits her family’s sporting background for inspiring her competitive nature. Both girls have had the privilege of training in Germany, where they faced high-level competition that helped them improve their skills.

Balancing academics and swimming can be challenging, but both Karin and Christina have received support from their schools. Karin expresses her gratitude for the training and coaching provided by her school, which has played a significant role in her success. Christina, on the other hand, benefits from a sports scholarship that helps her manage her academic and swimming commitments. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, as they have achieved their dream of qualifying for the Olympics.

The moment they found out they had qualified for the Olympics was a surreal experience for both Karin and Christina. The news brought overwhelming emotions of shock, happiness, and pride. Their families were equally thrilled and proud of their achievements, with tears of joy flowing as they realized the magnitude of this accomplishment. As former professional athletes, Karin and Christina’s parents understood the significance of reaching the Olympics and supported their daughters every step of the way.

Being an Olympian is a remarkable achievement that comes with a sense of pride and responsibility. Karin and Christina feel honored to represent their countries on the global stage and hope to inspire other young athletes to pursue their dreams. They look forward to competing against the world’s best swimmers and sharing their experiences with the younger generation. As role models for aspiring athletes in the UAE, Jordan, and Eritrea, they aim to instill the values of hard work, determination, and passion for sports.

In conclusion, Karin and Christina’s journey from local swimming pools to the Olympics is a testament to their dedication and perseverance. Their passion for swimming, supported by their families and schools, has led them to this incredible opportunity to compete at the Paris Games. As they prepare to dive into the Olympic pool and represent their countries, Karin and Christina serve as shining examples of what can be achieved through hard work, talent, and a dream to reach the top of the sporting world.
