Transformation of Budaiya Highway through Major Infrastructure Project in Progress

A major infrastructure project along Budaiya Highway in Bahrain is set to transform transportation in the region, with the construction of a new 3-lane dual carriageway spanning approximately 6.5 kilometers from Al Qadam Roundabout to Janabiya Highway. The project, part of the AMAS Access improvement package 3, aims to enhance traffic flow and connectivity, with key components including the installation of new traffic signals, pedestrian footbridges, and street lighting. Bidders for the project, including Haji Hassan Group and Nass Contracting, have quoted competitive prices for the ambitious endeavour.

The Ministry of Works in Bahrain launched a tender for the construction of the Budaiya Highway infrastructure project, attracting bids from two prominent companies in the region. Haji Hassan Group quoted BD 29,936,870.990 and Nass Contracting quoted BHD 31,435,270.000, showing a close competition between the bidders for the significant project. The project along Budaiya Highway in Bahrain will involve the implementation of new traffic signals to replace existing roundabouts, as well as modifications to existing traffic signals at Janabiya Highway.
