UAE residents can expect fair to partly cloudy weather on Wednesday with a decrease in temperatures over coastal areas. Humidity is expected to increase by night and Thursday morning in some areas. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally freshening during the daytime, potentially causing blowing dust. Sea conditions are anticipated to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate at times in the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 47ºC in Gasyoura, Al Quaa, and Sila areas, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai reaching 42ºC and 41ºC respectively. The humidity index may reach up to 90 per cent in Dubai and 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi. Concerns have been raised about heat-related illnesses due to the high temperatures and humidity. Dehydration, heatstroke, exhaustion, and skin problems are some of the health risks associated with extreme heat.

Doctors advise taking extra precautions during extreme heat conditions, especially when working outdoors. To prevent heat exhaustion, individuals should rest in a shaded area with adequate hydration and cooling measures. Misting or spraying with water can also help alleviate symptoms. It is important to recognize the signs of heat-related illnesses and take prompt action to prevent serious health consequences.

Staying updated with the latest news on weather conditions is essential to stay safe and prepared. Following KT on WhatsApp Channels can provide timely updates on weather forecasts and any changing conditions. Being aware of the weather forecast can help individuals plan their day accordingly and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related issues. Understanding the impact of weather on health is crucial for maintaining well-being during extreme heat conditions.

The combination of high temperatures, humidity, and potential blowing dust can create challenging conditions for residents in the UAE. It is important to stay informed and follow guidelines provided by health authorities to protect oneself from heat-related illnesses. By taking simple precautions, such as staying hydrated, seeking shade, and avoiding strenuous activities during peak heat hours, individuals can reduce the risk of falling ill due to extreme weather. Prioritizing health and safety during hot weather is essential for overall well-being.
