Al Gharafa, a Qatar Stars League team, is gearing up for the new season with a pre-season training camp in Slovakia. Led by coach Pedro Martins, who was named the best coach of the 2023-2024 season, the team will begin their overseas preparations on July 16 and conclude on August 1. After an impressive season where they were in contention for the title until the end, Al Gharafa will aim for a strong start in the upcoming season, kicking off on August 9. Their first major challenge will be the AFC Champions League Elite qualifiers in August.

On the other hand, Al Arabi, coached by Younes Ali, will travel to Vienna, Austria for their training camp from July 7 to 27. The team finished fifth in the previous season and will be looking for a turnaround and a better performance this year. Similarly, Umm Salal is gearing up for the new season with a training camp in Limburg, the Netherlands from July 17 to August 3. Despite finishing in seventh position in the QSL, the team had clinched the Ooredoo Cup crown in the previous season.

In addition to Al Gharafa, Al Arabi, and Umm Salal, other QSL teams like Al Rayyan and Al Shamal have also announced their plans for pre-season training camps in the Netherlands. Al Rayyan, who finished as runners-up in the last season, will hold their camp from July 10 to 29. On the other hand, Al Shamal, who recently signed striker Baghdad Bounedjah, will be based in the Netherlands from July 14 to August 2. These training camps are crucial for the teams to bond, train, and prepare for the upcoming season, with hopes of achieving success and improving their performance on the field.

Overall, the pre-season training camps in Slovakia and the Netherlands are important for QSL teams like Al Gharafa, Al Arabi, Umm Salal, Al Rayyan, and Al Shamal to come together, train, and prepare for the upcoming season. With experienced coaches and talented players, these teams are aiming for a strong start and successful campaigns in the QSL and other competitions.
