In celebration of International Olympic Day, the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will be hosting a day of exciting activities on June 23, 2024. The event, themed “Let’s Move 2024 X Paris 2024,” aims to inspire the community to participate in sports and celebrate the rich heritage of the Olympic Games. Collaborating with various organizations, the museum will offer a range of engaging activities for participants of all ages.
The “Let’s Move 2024 X Paris 2024” programme will feature interactive competitions in the Activation Zone, focusing on speed, height, and strength in line with the Olympic motto “Citius, Altius, Fortius.” Winners will be recognized and awarded medals for their achievements. Additionally, demonstrations in Olympic sports activities will be available for attendees to participate in, allowing them to measure their speed, agility, and strength.
Workshops focusing on the core Olympic values will also be held, where participants can engage in creative activities such as crafting crowns for Ancient Olympics winners and gold medals for Modern Olympics. The Paris 2024 Mascot will also be featured, providing a fun and educational experience for all. Director Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla expressed excitement about the event, highlighting the opportunity for everyone to experience the excitement and spirit of the Olympic Games firsthand.
The event is part of the museum’s mission to research, collect, educate, and share the story of global and Qatari sports in an engaging and entertaining manner. Through participatory spaces and planned programming, the museum aims to inspire and engage the community, encouraging them to take part in sports and physical activity. Open to the public, “Let’s Move 2024 X Paris 2024” does not require pre-registration, inviting all to join in the celebration of International Olympic Day.
