The State of Qatar has condemned the occupation of Palestinian territories by Israel, stating that occupation and human rights are contradictory and cannot coexist. The country has called upon the international community to pressure the Israeli government and put an end to its illegal settlement policies and aggression against the Palestinian people. Qatar has urged for the immediate and permanent end to Israel’s genocide and forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza, and for the lifting of the blockade to allow humanitarian aid to enter the region.

In a statement delivered by the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the UN Office in Geneva, Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah emphasized Israel’s use of aggressive tactics in the Gaza Strip, such as killing, starvation, siege, and destroying infrastructure and civilian facilities. The Israeli forces have cut off essential supplies like water, electricity, fuel, food, and medical aid in an effort to punish and seek revenge against the Palestinian people. Qatar has called for accountability for those responsible for these crimes and violations of human rights.

The State of Qatar has expressed its condemnation of Israel’s lack of cooperation with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Israel has hindered the Commission from fulfilling its mandate by denying access to the occupied territories, which highlights the severity of Israel’s genocidal actions and disregard for international laws and agreements. Qatar has called for the international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions and ensure justice for the Palestinian people.

Dr. Al Muftah reiterated Qatar’s support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967. The country has called for an end to the occupation and settlement activities that have hindered the progress towards peace and stability in the region. Qatar believes that the international community must take necessary measures to pressure Israel to comply with international law and respect the rights of the Palestinian people.

The statement delivered at the 56th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva reflects Qatar’s continued commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and advocating for justice and peace in the region. The State of Qatar has called for an end to the Israeli occupation, aggression, and violations of human rights in Palestine, and has urged for immediate action to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Qatar’s stance aligns with efforts to uphold international law and protect the rights of vulnerable populations in conflict-affected areas.

In conclusion, the State of Qatar has made a strong statement condemning the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and calling for accountability for human rights violations. Qatar has urged the international community to pressure Israel to end its aggression against the Palestinian people, lift the blockade in Gaza, and allow for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The country’s stance reflects a commitment to justice, peace, and respect for human rights in the region, and highlights the importance of addressing the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
