Qatar is currently hosting a series of vibrant and exciting celebrations to mark Eid Al Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, held as one of the most significant holidays in the Islamic calendar. The ongoing festivities in Doha, Qatar, feature a blend of traditional customs and modern attractions that offer residents and visitors a unique experience. This year, the city is alive with energy and a strong sense of community, providing a perfect opportunity for all to immerse themselves in the rich traditions that make Qatar a special place for commemorating this important holiday.

With a focus on family-oriented activities, numerous captivating events are taking place throughout the city during the ongoing celebrations. From enchanting evening performances by traditional maritime bands at the Old Doha Port to open days for kayaking and stand-up paddles, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The Old Doha Port has also opened its doors to vehicles, allowing visitors to explore the picturesque Mina District with ease and convenience. Furthermore, complimentary golf carts are available to transport guests to their desired destinations within the port, ensuring a memorable experience for all during the Eid holidays and summer season.

The Katara Cultural Village has become a central hub of activity, hosting a diverse range of events that celebrate Qatari culture and heritage. Visitors can witness breathtaking fireworks displays, traditional performances, and exhibitions that provide insight into Qatar’s vibrant history and customs until June 18. The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is also organising interactive exhibits and workshops that highlight Islamic art and culture from June 17 to June 20, offering families a chance to explore the artistic and historical aspects of the holiday.

For those interested in equestrian pursuits, Al Shaqab, Doha’s renowned equestrian centre, is hosting family-friendly events from June 18 to 20. Activities include horse riding, archery, and showcases of purebred Arabian horses, providing entertainment and education on Qatar’s equestrian traditions. Children can participate in arts and crafts workshops, traditional henna designs, and bouncy castles, ensuring a fun-filled experience for the whole family.

Shopping complexes across the nation, such as the Mall of Qatar, Al Hazm Mall, and Royal Plaza Mall, are bustling with activity, offering entertainment and exclusive offers for visitors. Festive decorations, live performances, exclusive discounts, and engaging activities for children are just a few of the attractions awaiting patrons at these malls. The Mall of Qatar features captivating live shows and musical performances, while Al Hazm Mall offers a variety of cultural activities and family-oriented events from June 17 to June 20. These shopping complexes have become central hubs for both residents and tourists, seamlessly blending shopping and entertainment experiences for all.
