Prospective buyers of second-hand vehicles in Dubai will soon have access to the accident history of the vehicles they are interested in purchasing, thanks to the Dubai Police’s announcement of using artificial intelligence (AI) to provide this information. The AI will also provide data on the mechanical condition of the vehicles, giving buyers more transparency before making their purchase. This integration of AI systems into administrative operations is part of the Dubai Police’s efforts to modernize and streamline their processes.

Furthermore, the Dubai Police will also utilize AI-powered technology to analyze minor accidents, reducing the number of steps required to generate a report from seven to four. This advancement will lead to faster processing of minor accident reports and eliminate the need for human intervention in some cases. The ‘report minor accidents’ service, available on the Dubai Police app and website, will be enhanced by AI to provide a more efficient and convenient experience for drivers involved in minor accidents.

Major-General Khalid Nasser Alrazooqi, director of the force’s AI department, highlighted the updates made to the Dubai Police app, which now offers 70 services in seven languages. The app also features a virtual officer named Amna, who can interact with the public and answer queries in Arabic and English. The AI-powered Smart Police Station (SPS) is another innovative solution offered by the Dubai Police, allowing customers to access various services without the need for human presence. The SPS has been operational since the beginning of 2024 and has already received a significant number of visitors and processed transactions.

In addition to providing accident history and processing minor accident reports, AI technology is transforming the way the Dubai Police interacts with the public and delivers services. The use of AI has significantly improved efficiency and convenience for both the police force and the residents of Dubai. With the integration of AI into various administrative operations, the Dubai Police is paving the way for a more technologically advanced and streamlined approach to law enforcement in the city.

Overall, the Dubai Police’s adoption of AI technology for providing accident history, analyzing minor accidents, and delivering services through the Smart Police Station is a significant step towards enhancing transparency, efficiency, and convenience for both law enforcement and the community. The continued integration of AI into administrative operations demonstrates the Dubai Police’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and modernizing their processes to better serve the residents and visitors of Dubai. As AI continues to play a key role in improving various aspects of law enforcement and public services, the Dubai Police’s initiatives serve as a model for other organizations looking to leverage technology for better outcomes.
