The 20th batch of national service recruits recently graduated from the National Service Academy in Qatar, in a ceremony presided over by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah. The rigorous training for this cohort lasted a full year, during which the graduates honed both practical and theoretical skills. In his address, President of the National Service Academy Maj Gen Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi urged the graduates to continue their dedication to serving the nation.

During the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister also launched the National Service Academy’s new website, which will provide up-to-date information on news, events, and FAQs related to the academy and its recruits. Additionally, he inaugurated a portal on the Ministry of Interior’s “Metrash 2” service, aimed at streamlining the registration process for the academy. The event concluded with the Deputy Prime Minister honoring the security and civil entities, as well as the forces and units that contributed to the success of the academy’s programs. Certificates were also awarded to the top graduates of the graduating class.

The graduation ceremony was attended by various senior officers from the Qatari Armed Forces, as well as the families of the graduates. The event was not only a celebration of the hard work and dedication put in by the recruits over the course of the year-long training program, but also a reminder of the important role that these individuals will play in serving and protecting their nation. The presence of high-ranking officials from the Qatari Armed Forces underscored the significance of the occasion and the support that the recruits have from the country’s leadership.

The launching of the National Service Academy’s website and the Metrash 2 portal reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing and streamlining the processes involved in the national service program. By providing easy access to information and simplifying registration procedures, the authorities aim to encourage more young citizens to participate in this vital program, which plays a crucial role in strengthening the country’s defense forces. The new digital platforms will also serve as a valuable resource for current recruits, offering them a centralized hub for updates, announcements, and other important information.

The graduation ceremony was an opportunity to not only recognize the hard work and achievements of the graduates but also to highlight the continued importance of national service in Qatar. Through programs like the National Service Academy, young citizens are given the opportunity to develop valuable skills, instill discipline, and cultivate a sense of duty and patriotism. These qualities are essential for building a strong and unified nation, capable of meeting the challenges of the modern world. The support and recognition given to the graduates by the Deputy Prime Minister and other officials send a clear message of appreciation for their commitment to serving their country.

Overall, the graduation of the 20th batch of national service recruits was a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen Qatar’s defense forces and instill a sense of national pride and unity among its citizens. The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the graduates, while also highlighting the important role that they will play in safeguarding their country’s security and prosperity. With the launch of the new website and the Metrash 2 portal, the National Service Academy is poised to continue its mission of training and developing the next generation of Qatari servicemen and women, ensuring that they are well-equipped to protect and serve their nation.
