Dubai Mall set for expansion with Emaar’s Dh1.5 billion plan

The largest mall in Dubai, Dubai Mall, is set to undergo a massive Dh1.5 billion expansion, adding 240 new luxury stores and food and beverage outlets. The project has already started, with contractors mobilizing on-site to begin construction. Mohamed Alabbar, the chairman of Emaar Properties, announced the expansion, highlighting Dubai’s ambition to remain at the forefront of global innovation and culture. In 2023, Dubai Mall broke records by becoming the most visited place on Earth, with 105 million visitors, marking a 19 percent increase from the previous year. Emaar Properties, the developer behind Dubai Mall, also announced plans for a new mall in Dubai Creek Harbor, where customers will be able to drive through in electric cars.
