The UAE’s Golden Visa programme is a long-term residency scheme aimed at attracting and retaining talented individuals, investors, and other key contributors in the Emirates. It offers exclusive benefits and is available for various groups such as investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, scholars, top students, pioneers of humanitarian work, and first line of defence personnel. The residency permits are valid for either 5 or 10 years, depending on the category, with the aim of encouraging individuals to live, work, invest, and study in the UAE.

One of the key benefits of the Golden Visa is the multiple-entry visa that allows foreigners to finalize procedures in the Emirates. Additionally, Golden residency includes a renewable 5- or 10-year residence visa, depending on the category. Holders of the Golden Visa can also stay outside the UAE for a period exceeding 6 months without needing to re-enter the country within that time frame. There is no need for a sponsor or guarantor within the country for Golden Visa holders, and family residency permits are granted, allowing the issuance of residence permits to family members, including spouse and children.

Furthermore, Golden Visa holders can recruit an unlimited number of support service workers or house helps. In the event of the death of the breadwinner holding the Golden residency, family members can remain in the UAE for the duration of their residency. There is a high demand among foreigners for the UAE’s Golden Visa, with various ways to obtain a 10-year residency without the need for a job. Expats can also explore different types of non-work residency visas available in the UAE.

For individuals interested in gaining Golden residency through property purchase, there are specific details to be aware of. Expats can also learn about the six types of non-work residency visas that are available in the UAE. Overall, the Golden Visa programme in the UAE offers a unique opportunity for individuals to establish long-term residency in the country and enjoy exclusive benefits, making it an attractive option for investors, entrepreneurs, and other key contributors. By understanding the requirements and benefits of the Golden Visa, expats can make informed decisions about their residency options in the UAE.
