Muscat: Oman Broadband Company has recently joined forces with several companies to enhance their fiber optic network for various projects across the Sultanate of Oman. This collaboration was announced during the COMEX 2024 event. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Wahaibi, the CEO of Oman Broadband Company, explained that these cooperation programs will focus on expanding the fiber optic network in areas where the projects of the signing companies are located. The first program involves partnering with Wave Muscat to provide fiber optic network services at the Wave Muscat for all service providers. Additionally, a program was signed with the new Central Vegetable and Fruit Market at Khazaen Economic Zone to establish fiber optic connectivity.

Furthermore, a cooperation agreement was made with Adrak Developers to provide fiber optic network services for the residential complex at Khazaen Economic Zone. Another collaboration was struck with Muscat Hills to ensure that fiber optic network is easily accessible to all operators in the area. The fifth and final program was signed with Globalcom (GCOM), aiming to further enhance the fiber optic network infrastructure in Oman. Al Wahaibi emphasized that these programs will enable Oman Broadband to expand its networks to serve all governorates, including both urban and rural areas. This move highlights the company’s commitment to improving connectivity across the Sultanate.

By partnering with these companies, Oman Broadband is paving the way for improved communication infrastructure throughout the country. The agreements will benefit various sectors, including residential communities, markets, and business hubs, by providing reliable and high-speed fiber optic network services. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing Oman’s digital infrastructure, supporting economic growth, and meeting the increasing demand for connectivity in the region. As the demand for digital services continues to rise, the importance of a robust fiber optic network cannot be overstated, and Oman Broadband is taking proactive steps to meet these needs.

The cooperation programs signed by Oman Broadband Company demonstrate a strategic approach to enhancing the country’s digital connectivity. By collaborating with key stakeholders, including Wave Muscat, Adrak Developers, Muscat Hills, and Globalcom, the company is positioning itself as a leader in expanding fiber optic network coverage. The agreements will not only benefit the signing companies but will also have a positive impact on the wider community, improving access to high-speed internet services and enabling digital transformation across various sectors. Oman Broadband’s commitment to expanding its networks to serve all governorates underscores its dedication to bridging the digital divide and fostering economic development in the Sultanate.

As Oman Broadband expands its fiber optic network, residents and businesses across the Sultanate will have access to faster, more reliable internet services. This will not only improve communication capabilities but will also open up new opportunities for digital innovation and growth. By investing in cutting-edge infrastructure and forging partnerships with industry leaders, Oman Broadband is laying the groundwork for a more connected and prosperous future. With the support of companies like Wave Muscat, Adrak Developers, Muscat Hills, and Globalcom, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of Oman’s digital landscape and drive technological advancement across the country.
