Commuters in Dubai are eagerly anticipating the reopening of four key Dubai Metro stations on May 28. These stations were closed last month due to unstable weather conditions in the country, leading to disruptions in daily commutes for residents. Companies such as Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy have been affected by the closures, forcing employees like Hassna Khalid to find alternative transportation options to get to work.

Hassna, who works near Equiti Metro station, has been relying on her friends for transportation to work every day. However, the closure of the station has made it challenging for her to return home to Jebel Ali. The reopening of the station is highly awaited by commuters like Hassna, as it will simplify their daily commutes and bring life back to normalcy for them.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced last week that the closed Dubai Metro stations will resume regular operations by May 28 after completing all necessary maintenance and safety tests. This will ensure that the stations are ready to operate efficiently at the highest standards. Commuters like South African expatriate Imka Luan, who works in Al Quoz, have been facing challenges due to the closure of Onpassive station. Imka has had to rely on other modes of transportation to reach his workplace and is eagerly looking forward to the reopening of the stations on May 28.

To cope with the inconvenience caused by the station closures, Indian expat and freelance photographer Amir plans his journey in advance. Carrying heavy equipment with him, Amir finds the closures mentally and physically exhausting. He believes that the reopening of the four Metro stations will restore convenience, efficiency, and flexibility crucial to his photography work. Commuters like Amir and Hassna are counting down the days until May 28 when they can resume their normal daily commutes with the reopening of the key Dubai Metro stations.
