Qatar Foundation and Ooredoo collaborate to enhance ESG objectives

Qatar Foundation and Ooredoo Qatar are joining forces in a three-year partnership aimed at advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals in Qatar and the region. This collaboration, announced at the Qatar Economic Forum 2024, will see the two organizations working together to integrate sustainable practices into their core business strategies and contribute to Qatar’s National Vision 2030. Thani Ali Al Malki, Chief Business Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, highlighted the importance of this partnership in enhancing service offerings and championing ESG goals within Qatar and beyond.

The partnership between Qatar Foundation and Ooredoo Qatar will focus on areas such as education, health, and community, with a goal of leveraging global platforms and networks to enhance the exposure and effectiveness of joint initiatives. One example of this collaboration is the participation of both organizations in Qatar Foundation’s WISH Summit, which will allow for collaborative work in the area of innovative healthcare. Additionally, the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) Conference will support the protection and promotion of sustainable societies, further solidifying the commitment of Qatar Foundation and Ooredoo Qatar to advance ESG goals in the region.

Qatar Foundation member Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future will play a key role in supporting and guiding Ooredoo’s sustainable initiatives. Earthna brings specialized thought leadership, expertise, and global networks in sustainability to the partnership, providing Ooredoo with the necessary support to achieve its environmental and social goals. By partnering with Earthna, Ooredoo Qatar is demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices, aligning with Qatar Foundation’s mission to create a sustainable future for Qatar and the region.
